Lisbeth Johansen (b.1973) lives and works in Copenhagen. She graduated from Fatamorgana – The Danish School of Art Photography – and holds a Master’s degree in Visual Culture from the University of Copenhagen.
Her artistic practice explores identity, personal and collective memory, emotions, beliefs, taboos, trauma, and personal history. Working narratively and experimentally, she often combines image and text.
Johansen has exhibited in Denmark and Sweden, including Fotografisk Center, LOKALE, Landskrona Foto Festival, and Galleri Format in Malmö. She is also the author of The Picture of the Yellow Sun.
